Brief
History: Don
Bosco Parish was established as a Quasi Parish on 1st April 2012. The new Parish was bifurcated from St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish, Agartala. Fr. Davis Aricatt, S.D.B., was appointed its first
Parochial Administrator.
The Parish has
in its precincts a Don Bosco School established in 1997 at Nandannagar. Auxilium Girls School, established in 2003,
and managed by the F.M.A. Sisters. The Peace
Centre was established in 2010 at Nandannagar.
The M.S.M.H.C. Sisters started Ferrando
Rehabilitation Centre for differently abled
children and artificial limbs with physiotherapy at Nandannagar in 2004.
The Holy Spirit Sisters (S.Sp.S.) established
themselves at Nandanagar in 2000. Since 2008
they also run a Dropout Coaching Centre for
Girls in their campus.

Brief History: The Salesians entered Tripura
in 1991. In August 1996 a plot of land measuring 21 acres was bought at
Bankumari, in Nandannagar, on the outskirts of Agartala. In September 1996, the
location for the School building was identified and construction began. In
April 1997, Fr. M.C. George, S.D.B. took charge as Principal. In 1999, Sri
Manik Sarkar, Honourable Chief Minister of Tripura laid the foundation stone of
the new School building and Fr. Blasius Kujur S.D.B., blessed the new venture. In
2004, the new school building (Nursery to class XII) was inaugurated by the Chief
Minister of Tripura Sri. Manik Sarkar, in the presence of Sri. Anil Sarkar,
Education Minister of Tripura, Bishop Lumen Monteiro, C.S.C., and the Archbishop
of Shillong Dominc Jala, S.D.B., who blessed the new building. The auditorium
with a capacity of 1,700 was inaugurated in 2005. On 13th June 2008,
Higher Secondary section was inaugurated.

Brief History: The journey began on 31stJanuary
2000, when the Provincial of Shillong officially laid the foundation stone for Auxilium
Girls’ School, the first and the only Girls’ English Medium School in Agartala.
On 3rd February 2003, Sr. Christina Kharkongor was appointed the
first Principal of the School. Auxilium
was upgraded to Senior Secondary in 2013, offering all the three streams of
education – Science, Humanities and Commerce.

Brief
History: Ferrando
School for Speech and Hearing was established on 3rd July 2006 with
the sole purpose of providing educational rehabilitation to the hearing
impaired. The school started with two hearing impaired students and over the
course of the years the student’s strength grew to 115. The school is a
co-educational institution and has regular classes from Nursery to Class VIII,
while further coaching is provided to students who are keen on appearing their
X and XII examinations through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
