Brief
History: The process
of forming the Parish at Bagbasa which in some way had begun with the
discussion in the Provincial Chapter of the Holy Cross Fathers six years before
the day of establishment, was initiated by late Fr. Mathew Ullatill, C.S.C. Fr.
CR Paul, C.S.C. supervised the School and the construction from Panisagar while
ministering pastorally in the area. On 25th March2012, Holy Cross Quasi Parish
was established and inaugurated by Bishop
Lumen Monteiro, C.S.C. 10 mondolis
along with Bagbasa mondoli were bifurcated from Kumarghat Parish to form the
new Quasi Parish. Fr. CR Paul, C.S.C., was installed as the first Parochial Administrator.
Today, the Parish covers the entire Civil Sub-Divisions of Panisagar and
Dharmanagar.

Brief
History: Holy Cross School Bagbasa located on the
AA Road (N.H. 8) began on 23rd January 2012 with 120 students by Fr.
CR Paul, C.S.C. as its first Principal. TheHostel had 40 students. The Parish
and the School started at the same time. At present the School has been
upgraded to the Secondary level and affiliated to Tripura Board of Education. (TBSE).
The Pallotine Sisters (S.A.C.) came to Bagbasa in 2020 to collaborate with the
education and pastoral ministry.

Brief
History: The inspiration to have an institute of
our own came from Bishop Lumen Monteiro. The Council took up the idea during
the tenure of Sr. Edleburgh, B.S., the then Provincial Superior. Mr. Purnendu
Chakraborty a resident of Dharmanagar strongly supported the cause and offered
his cement godown to start make-shift classrooms. The dream became a reality on
9th January 1999 with Sr. Gretta, B.S. as the first Principal. 61
students were enrolled. Soon after some land was purchased in Sakaibari, a building
was built, and the School was shifted to Sakaibari on 15th January 2000.On 18th
Aug 2007the School obtained provisional affiliation and thefirst batch with 22
students answered their ICSE Examination in 2009.
